Hey thanks for the help. Plus I think a lot more people could benefit from those links.

Hey no problem, anybody looking to get into cars is great, I myself don’t know much mechanically (there’s a lot of us who don’t) but I do lend a hand and read up a lot about certain procedures for specific cars from time to time.

You’re right about people benefiting with knowing who to go to to try to learn more about cars, I should probably just promote them every once in a while! ahahaha

I wish I knew more about cars.

Well if you want to know more you can start by asking questions on what you’d like to know more about to some cool tumblr people with unique knowledge on specific things like haris300, that911, and mekapaedia!!!!!!!! They too can direct you to other tumblr people and websites who have unique knowledge on specific things they may not have an answer to.

I don’t even POST photos or new gifs here anymore and my old shit still gets notes. Pretty neat. An old post will die out, one person reblogs it, whole new chain reaction. Multiply that with more old posts dying out and the process keep going.

The "shitty" side of the car community is someone who spends thousands of dollars on vehicles with no intention of actually driving them or using them for what they were intended to do. What else can you do with an automatic 2jz s13 besides go fast in a straight line? Where is the logic in that?

flicktitty:

Please enlighten me on what a car is “intended to do”  I believe a car is actually designed for transportation, which this car does quite well. If you mean the “you own a S-chassis you must drift it” mentality then yes you are in fact correct. the car won’t ever be a drift car, Sorry to hurt your feelings. But the car has been having the kinks worked out of it, so the car will most likely see some auto-x day’s this summer and maybe even a few laps at road america if we so choose as the track is only a few hours from my home. When we built the car we built it to be a fun all around car, something we could take for a cruise to other cities, to car shows, to a road course, auto-x or drag strip, actually with a change of tires you could drift the car if you wanted to, The car was made to be a “Jack of all trades, master of none” Sort of theme. It could dabble in a various amount of things but not be the best at any one thing.

Curious as you seem to have such expert knowledge on the automotive world, and how to build a car, and how a car should be used why not come out from behind the Anon name and show what you have built? or have done? Maybe it’s cause you haven’t actually built anything worth talking about and that is why you feel the need to ATTEMPT to get a rise out of someone for building a car to their specific wants. Me and my fiance built the car for US to make US happy. If we wanted to build it to approve to the masses we easily could have, but where is the fun in building a cookie cutter car?
